We can tailor a specific concrete for your actual needs. Tell us exactly what you need the concrete for and we will advise you on the correct product for your particular
project. Take a look at the different types listed below, please ring if you are not sure. Types of concrete that can be supplied and pumped to your chosen location. GEN/1 The GEN/1 concrete mix is a lightweight and perfect concrete for most non-structural applications. This standardised mix is mostly used for cavity filling, kerbing, unreinforced domestic foundations and haunching application. GEN/2 The GEN 2 concrete mix is the ideal concrete for domestic internal flooring, or when the intended use will be to cover the areas with carpets or tiles. GEN/2 is not suitable for outdoor application unless it will be completely covered or totally encased. GEN/3 The GEN/3 concrete mix is a more durable, stronger concrete, and ideal for residential foundations for example, garages, sheds, and conservatories. We recommend that GEN/3 concrete is not be used externally, unless covered or encased completely. C20 Concrete - Strength Value: 20 Newtons - Approx 28 Days This Concrete and strength ratio is widely used for domestic foundations and floors or where the overall weight ratio of the build structure that will sit on the concrete will be lighter. Examples that this concrete may be used for Domestic workshop bases Driveways Garage bases Internal floor slabs C25 Concrete - Strength Value: 25 Newtons - Approx 28 Days Good for a wide range of applications, a popular and versatile mix. Examples that this concrete may be used for. Groundwork Foundations Patios Footings Kerbing C30 Concrete - Strength Value: 30 Newtons - Approx 28 Days This mix can be considered the minimum for roadways and pathways which heavy traffic would be driving over regularly. A strong and durable concrete mix that can resist changes in the climate and hard weathering conditions. Examples that this concrete may be used for. Concrete work yards Farmyards HGV slipways C35 Concrete - Strength Value: 35 Newtons - Approx 28 Days A very strong industrial mix that is structurally strong and ideally used for commercial structures and areas that need to withhold heavy usage. Examples that this concrete may be used for. Concrete pilling External slabs Commercial metal reinforced slabs Large construction sites Agriculture, barns, yards Fibre Reinforced Concrete This type of concrete contains fibres that are placed into the mix to enhance the strength and durability. Together with the concrete and fibres it will reduce the chances of the material from cracking and shifting. This will guarantee better stability structurally and produce a better finish on the surface. All depending on the project that you require fibre reinforcement for, the appropriate fibre types will be introduced in the mixing process. Such as steel fibres may be added to a concrete floor installation to give superior strength to allow for heavy usage and loads. Examples that this concrete may be used for. Driveways Structural Reinforcement Warehouse and Industrial Flooring Pool Construction Sewer Work Foundations Drainage Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) This type of concrete is an ideal choice for structures that are underground like foundations. Concrete that is self-compacting offers easy to pour and pump qualities and does not require the usual mechanical compaction and vibrating, reducing noise levels when installing. This is because superplasticisers are introduced into the mix for a greater flow-rate, this allows for the concrete to self-compact and self-level, easy to pump into awkward areas. Self-Compacting Concrete Benefits A risk of segregation in standard concrete can be a risk factor and result in a loss of structural strength. SCC on the other hand will segregate and will meet all the necessary specifications and performance benefits for your project. Examples that this concrete may be used for and benefits. Easy to Pump Appearance is uniform (Surface) Finishes last a long time Strength Qualities Fast Construction Times Lower Noise levels when constructing Structures with Complex Reinforcement Distributions Raft and Pile Foundations Earth Retaining Systems Retaining Walls Drilled Shafts Columns Foamed Concrete If you find yourself with an installation project that requires a low-density and lightweight concrete product then foamed concrete could be the best solution for you. A very versatile self-compacting material that is ideally suited for filling voids (large or small) with density, durability and lasting strength, making it a very good alternative material from traditional fill products on the market. Benefits of Foamed Concrete It's self-levelling and self-compacting qualities make this product a good solution for those areas which can pose difficulties in accessing and where a compaction process could be hard or non-existent. Another great attribute is that this type of concrete is easy to pump to good distances, pour, and level out, which equates to quick installation times and minimum delays for your building projects or developments. Foamed concrete also has great acoustic and thermal insulation effects if that is something you are looking for in a concrete product. Examples that this concrete may be used for. Trench reinstatement Pipework Sink Hole Filling Sewer Systems Stabilising Tunnels Void Filling Waterproof Concrete We can supply and pump a concrete mix with waterproof properties tailored to your project or needs. Structures like underground car parks, basements and foundations that require a precision mixed concrete of this type can be obtained through us an pumped to your chosen location.
